CanadaHelps is seeking an energetic, passionate, eCommerce Marketing Manager to play a key role in driving donor direct donations through developing, leading, and managing acquisition, conversion, and retention strategies across all digital channels.

About the role: 

Reporting to the VP, Marketing, the eCommerce Marketing Manager is responsible for developing (both independently, and with the VP Marketing) acquisition, retention, and conversion strategies for donors and overseeing the execution of programs and campaigns across all digital channels. 

This role requires strong digital marketing skills, the ability to think creatively to develop compelling content and campaign ideas, and the ability to mentor a small team to deliver exceptional quality that inspires Canadians to give generously. The successful candidate will have an analytical nature and desire for continuous learning and improvement, a passion for data-driven marketing strategies and optimization, and will enjoy keeping their technical and analytical skills sharp. 

The ability to lead and manage multiple projects concurrently to on-time completion is key for this role. The eCommerce Marketing Manager will also need to develop strong relationships across the organization, including working in close collaboration with the Product, and Data and Analytics teams.

Key duties and responsibilities: 

  • Develop acquisition, retention and conversion strategies for donors across digital channels, including email, website, ecommerce optimization, SEO, SEM, social media, and other channels as required. 
  • Lead and support continuous optimization and A/B testing opportunities on
  • Lead marketing activities to support eCommerce and Donor Marketing through their entire project cycle, including planning, execution, and analysis. 
  • Manage and mentor a small team that currently consists of a Social Media Coordinator and eCommerce Marketing Specialist
  • Oversee content development and/or write copy, when necessary, to support marketing activities and optimization, with a focus on conversion. 
  • Work with the product team to ensure marketing alignment with donor-facing products and development activities. 
  • Develop reports and provide analysis of campaign success, either independently or with our data analytics team.    
  • Identify and recommend ideas to improve our results. 

Skills and Experience

  • 5 years of related experience in digital marketing.
  • University degree, preferably in business, marketing, or a related field.  
  • Experience in digital marketing and email marketing (including targeting and segmentation, planning and implementing email automation/workflows and drip email campaigns). 
  • Experience in Search Engine Marketing and Search Engine Optimization. 
  • Experience with website optimization and A/B testing. 
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Strong project management, time management, and organizational skills. 
  • Excellent understanding of technology, aptitude for and interest in learning new technologies, tools, and software. 
  • Hands-on experience using Google Analytics, Email Marketing Platforms, and Wordpress (or similar tools).
  • Proficiency with MS Office/Google Docs, particularly PowerPoint/Slides and Excel/Sheets.  
  • Strong writing and proof-reading skills, with some experience writing direct marketing copy.
